¡¡The following is an English text of a protest speech by Mr.Nagayama
Hideki, a Japanese citizen and the President of Taiwanese Research
Forum, protesting the Edo Tokyo Museum's Exhibition of Chigghis Kaan
and Mongolian Treasures by China:
Dear friends, who is the Japanese hated the most by China and Korea?
He is Mr. Ishihara Shintaro, Governor of Tokyo Metropolis. Why?
Because, as politician he has been taking a firm position against
the anti-Japanese attitudes of China and Korea. Therefore, China and
Korea who want to see a weaker Japan has always hated and disliked
Governor Ishihara, the symbol of a strong and reviving Japan.
However, this time this hard-line politician has awkwardly failed
before a carefully planned Chinese maneuver. That is a special
exhibition called ¡°Chingghis Khaan and Mongolian Treasures¡±
displayed at the Edo Tokyo Museum, a museum run by Tokyo Metropolis.
Allowing this type of event to take place in Tokyo means the
Governor Ishihara is completely deceived by the Chinese propaganda.
Why? Because the Mongolian artifacts displayed at the Exhibition of
Chinggis Khaan and Mongolian Treasures are in fact not provided by
Mongolia, but by the People¡¯s Republic of China. In other words,
this museum is displaying the Mongolian treasures plundered from
Southern Mongolia by the Chinese when they invaded the country.
The Chinese Embassy is said to be a co-sponsor of the exhibition. In
fact, the Chinese Embassy is pulling the strings. So, what is the
purpose of this event? It is to carry out the propaganda, to distort
the history to claim that Chinggis Khaan is also a member of the
Chinese nationality or the so-called ¡°Zhong Hua Min Zu¡±. So, why the
Chinese must carry out this propaganda? The goal is to fool and
misinform the Japanese citizens that the current Chinese colonial
area of Southern Mongolia has always been a part of Chinese
territory since antiquity. Therefore, the Exhibition of Chinggis
Khaan and Mongolian Treasures taking place in Edo Tokyo Museum is
nothing more than political propaganda carried out by the Chinese
Embassy to justify China¡¯s invasion of Southern Mongolia.
The responsibility of Governor Ishihara who authorized this
political propaganda must not be underestimated. Let me make it
clear: the Mongolian artifacts currently displayed at the Exhibition
of Chinggis Khaan and Mongolian Treasures in Edo Tokyo Museum were
entirely plundered from Southern Mongolia by the Chinese during
their invasion of the country. Tokyo and Edo Tokyo Museum must not
assist in the Chinese Embassy¡¯s propaganda claims that Southern
Mongolia is a part of China. Governor Ishihara must assume the heavy
responsibility for allowing this to happen . Dear fellow Japanese
citizens, remember clearly that Southern Mongolia is the territory
of the Mongol nation. The so-called ¡°Inner Mongolia Autonomous
Region¡± is in fact a genuine Chinese colonial area set up by the
Chinese after their invasion of Southern Mongolia. Remember the
colonial policy in this area has been much more brutal than any
other colonial areas setup by the Western colonizers around the
world. As Japenese citizens, let us strive for the liberation of
Tibet, Uyghur , and the nation of Southern Mongolia.
